A Flash Serial — Unfettered

” A Pale Green Mermaid Blog “

Somewhere in America……….

She took her arrows and bow and walked outside. Sat down and started writing in her notebook knowing it would draw them in.

Sure enough the sonic rumble could be heard in the distance.  The sound was something like a high-pitched weed wacker in the sky. Just as the drone passed 15 feet above her head she quickly raised her bow aiming for the seam.  It fell to the ground.

She put her bow down and walked over.  It was jumping a bit. She placed a rose-colored boot on the tail.  All you could hear were jumbled voices as a camera lense whirred.  People gathered around and started to clap and laugh bending down to look.

Somewhere across town…..

He walked out his front door.  The grass was hot. It felt like the clouds were wet blankets hanging in the air.  His spitfire was parked in the street. He looked into the sky then hopped into the snug two-seater convertible stick.  He opened up the throttle as he hit the highway.  That’ s when the winds started.

‘ If not for my 6 foot 2 frame I would lift of this concrete highway,’  he thought. The sonic screams started in the east, he could feel them crawl up his back.

He shifted to 7th gear and let the car loose.  The car could do 110, if it felt like it.  He started laughing. Danger always had that effect on him. Two drones flanked his shoulders.  They liked to criss-cross over his head – Why? just, because they could..  He waited for the right moment and did a Rockford, slamming on the brakes while spinning the steering wheel.  The spitfire twirled into a complete reverse.  The two drones over head slammed into one another bursting debris over the empty highway.   He did not look back as he pressed the pedal, to the metal..

Meanwhile over the bridge…..

Crowds sat outside the justice building so thick the steps disappeared their placards thrown into a sloppy pile as they waited.   Inside the lawyer was finishing up his brief….

“The question is, are we going to allow the bulk collection of American citizen’s activities in their own back yards from the sky above through the use of drones or, will we be faithful to the constitution and the fourth amendment.”

He tightened his ponytail sat down and closed his briefcase.

And what of the Fourth Amendment?

By Leonard Pitts / Miami Herald

Perhaps you’ve heard of the Fourth Amendment.

That’s the one that guarantees freedom from unfettered government snooping, the one that says government needs probable cause and a warrant before it can search or seize your things.

Freedoms are meant to be used. I thank all the soldiers who fought and sacraficed so much for them.

Silver Sliver

” A Pale Green Mermaid Blog “

4th july 046

A writer sits by the river with a sliver of an idea and writes about the mighty and the honest about the evils of the time and the kind people who came before, that fought the war for truth peace justice and the american way.  Their almost gone now but the lesson of their fierce love of freedom rings across this land….. remember why they fought ww2 ….for freedom from tyrants (from within and without) the same reason Washington and his barefooted soldiers walked in the snow to Trenton N.J. —for peace, to have the ability to pursue happiness.

A writer, sits by the river, with the sliver, of an idea.

How To Resolve Any Issue – World Peace Or What Pizza To Order For Lunch !

” A Pale Green Mermaid Blog “

Quotes from PIERS MORGAN interview

I asked him if he’d trust Russian leader Vladimir Putin, the man currently saving the world – supposedly – with his Syria peace plan.

‘Putin’s a hard man,’ he replied. ‘A very hard man. But he respects strength.

We used to kick everyone out of the room, then go at it with each other. And I mean GO at it. It would get brutally blunt in there. But we’d get stuff done, and agree on things.’

‘Did he keep his word to you once you’d agreed them?’

‘Yes, he did. Every time.

I always believed you should try and be very honest with people in private and if you want them to help you, try to avoid embarrassing them in public.’

You have to meet face to face, be honest, state your position and be willing to see the other guy’s side.

Always leave an opening where your opposing partner can slip back into the discussion and take action.

Case in point, Syria.  Mr. Kerry opened that door (to exit from war) with his commnet, IF…. you do this …..I can do that!

Meeting With Israelis, Palestinian Leader Strikes a Conciliatory Tone on Peace Talks
Published: October 7, 2013

RAMALLAH, West Bank — In a rare meeting with Israeli politicians, President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority expressed optimism on Monday that a peace agreement could be reached in the nine months allotted to the current round of negotiations, and pointedly avoided questions that proved provocative in the past.

“We want flowers, not blood between us,” Mr. Abbas said in his first public comments about the attack on Saturday.

“Someone who kills someone for no reason, it is as though they have killed an entire people,” he added. “There is no reason to kill people.”

Be willing to see the long haul make statements that hold promise, tell your opposition partner you see light at the end of the tunnel!

And with that any bunp in the road can be weathered!

Good luck and Good day!

Mantras, Walking, Running Transitioning Your Heart To 2013

” A Pale Green Mermaid Blog “

Minds  wear with repeated internal comments a rut – in your brain, ’tis true!  Mantras, comments that you decide to retrain your brain with, can indeed flush the unwanted out and replace with a fresh app for the brain!!

My personal new APP-MANTRA is…..Peace (of mind ,world peace etc.) Prosperity (of spirit, of moolah etc) Love ( compassion for others, as the Dali Lama says -is the highest form of LOVE)

Now how to put this new mantra into action, cleaning out all the ruts in a brain?  Repeat until a smile comes to your face as you walk run or sit, the smile is a sign that  your mantra-ware is working!  ( I must say this is an updated version of the T.R. Technique, thanks Tony!)

So, start today, because if you change yourself – you change the world.

Bamboo Peace-niks / Poem

” A Pale Green Mermaid Blog “

A bamboo fence

a cheery hello

gardners chat

about gardens

” How’d you do that? “

” It looks great! “

if every home , every country had a garden

outside the front door

there would be no wars

because as the soldier

came up the steps

he would see your big bank of carnations

and absentedmindedly drop his gun to his side

” How’d you do that? “

Vive Le garden!

Nessie And The Monk

” A Pale Green Mermaid Blog “

A retiring Tibetan monk and the Loch Ness monster combine forces to create a world peace center.  Exactly what we as a global population need.

Potential place: While Lama Yeshe would not disclose the exact location of the planned centre it is believed the centre could be based in Drumnadrochit (pictured Urquhart Castle in the village)

When peace is your goal instead of war and power the answers to societies ills bubble up because peace is  essentially a bottom up process, it joins hands with everyone or it doesn’t work.

And along with peace comes prosperity because creative/idea oriented actions, flow from a peaceful environment.

So get thinking about what idea/plan/ thought you can send to the new world peace center.

Tibetan monks have lost their spiritual home in Tibet, for the time being, but out of struggle comes …..either pain or love it is always your choice.
