The Museum of the American Revolution (formerly The American Revolution Center) is a Philadelphia museum dedicated to telling the story of a the American Revolution. The museum was opened to the public on April 19, 2017, the anniversary of the first battle of the war, Lexington and Concord, on April 19, 1775.
There was a great section in the Philadelphia Inquirer April 16th edition,SUNDAY, In that section thare is a story about how the tent that George Washington used during the Revolution (the only tent still in existence from the revolution) has a symbol on the underside of the roof that looks to be arabic!
It is a mystery and no one so far has been able to decipher its origins. The tent on display in the museum is considered the first Oval office the place where George Washington went to sleep write and read. it was made in Reading PA.
So do you have any info” world “as to what the symbol means, was the tent’s production connected to the Middle East desert tents?
Help Philly solve this mystery!
