Poem / Parable – ” Fairy Tale Gone Bleak “

FAIRY TALE GONE BLEAK

The story was unlike any other,

They pushed, they shoved,

Now they walked the procession through their small town,

Bejewelled hands clasped – he with a supercilious frown,

Their subjects follow and fawn,

Grasping to touch their decaying  gowns,

Undergarments rest quietly on their heads ,

Appearing to some as crowns,

The King and Queen of nothing.

THE END
